Formed 19 years ago, New York Puja Association is tax exempt non-profit organization.
Based in Queens New York, our primary objective is to promote and celebrate Bengali Hindu social, cultural and religious events throughout the year as also to provide a platform for our children to appreciate the rich, colorful and cultural heritage of Bengal.
Celebration of Durga Puja is our main events and we celebrate this with joy, style and class. During this weekend long celebration, Puja is associated with cultural entertainment - creating an emotional connect with our far away home.
New York Puja Association (NYPA) because of untiring efforts of our dedicated members, effective committee members and support from the community has grown over the years.
New York Puja Association (NYPA) has also created a platform where cultural and religious events are organized annually to bring joy and happiness to our Bengali Community - thousand miles away from home.
Since 1996, our Association has taken efforts to celebrate events like Durgapuja, Kalipuja, Saraswati Puja as also Musical Shows, Cultural events so that we are in touch with our tradition, our culture and our heritage.

History:
1996. A group of East Indian American families, residing in Queens New York, assembled together with a mission to recreate and promote rich, cultural heritage of Bengal.
The Group felt what could be better than celebrating the Autumn Festival – Durga Puja and Dashera together, communicating the universal message of triumph of good over evil.
This heartfelt wish provided the seeds towards formation of New York Puja Association (NYPA). Since then, NYPA has grown, blossomed, and today, it is one of the most dynamic yet culturally rich Bengali Association in Tri-State area.
At New York Puja Association (NYPA), our goal is to encourage and invite individuals and their families to join NYPA, and participate in various religious and entertainment programmes.
